Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Perfume

It takes me a really long time to find a perfume that I like, I am really picky about the types of scents that I like, but when I got a free sample of this perfume at a Sephora in Poland I fell in love with it immediately. When I was shopping a few weeks ago, every time I saw the Guerlain display I was there spraying myself with the perfume, I was hooked and it immediately went on my Christmas list!

The scent it very fruity as the main top note is Black Cherry which is one of my favourite scents, with hints of Almonds, Berries Rose, Licorice, Smoky Black Tea and a base note of Patchouli. I find it hard to describe scents but this is a very warm sweet scent.

The packaging is beautiful with the lid in the shape of a heart and curved flourished edges which gives the bottle a bit of elegance. It looks perfect sat on a dressing table and stands out against the rest of my perfume bottles.

One of the things I really love is how long it last on my skin, it doesn't fade and I can still smell it hours later and if I get some on my scarf it will still be there the next day.

I couldn't recommend this perfume highly enough. On the Boots website the 30ml bottle retails for £47

What new perfumes have you discovered recently or what is your verdict on the georgous perfume from Guerlain? Leave me a comment and let me know.

First Purchase From Charlotte Tilbury

I was shopping in Liverpool a few weekends ago picking up a few bits a pieces for Christmas ( for myself :P) when I went into John Lewis and discovered the Charlotte Tilbury counter.

Whilst I was browsing I spotted this eye shadow quad they had about eight different quads bit my I was instantly drawn to this one.

I love silver eye shadows, especially for a smoky eye! I always find that if I am testing out a new brand I tend to go for eye shadow or a lip product

The eye shadows are really nicely pigmented and I have used the eye shadows in a few different looks and they blend like a dream. I especially love the glittery one as a topper over my lid colour to make it pop. This is a perfect palette for some festive looks this Christmas, I used it for my works Christmas party with the silver Heavy Metal Glitter Liner from Urban Decay and I loved the combination.

I used the 1st shade as my lid colour, the 2nd in the crease, the 4th focused mainly in the outer crease and for some definition and the 3rd colour on top of the lid colour for a bit of pop.

The packaging is beautiful and sleek and stands out amongst the rest of the make up that I have.

I didn't keep the receipt and John Lewis has 10% off which did sway me into purchasing it but it was still around £35 for the quad. With the post Christmas sales about to start as well there will be some bargains to be found.

If you have tried Charlotte Tilbury and have a favourite product or a product that you think I should try leave me a comment.

NARS Glossy Box

I have been toying with starting a beauty blog for a little while now and have decided to take the plunge and I thought what better way to start by doing a review on the limited addition NARS Glossy Box. This is going to be more of a first impressions video and I will update as I use the products.

I apologize in advance but the box is already sold out, I think it sold out in a couple of hours, I was on the website at 9 am to try and get my hands on this and I am so glad I was able to get my hands on it.

I have been a subscriber to Glossy Box now for about 5 months and I think it is great, it is £10 a month and you get 5 products to try out most of which are full size and the boxes are usually worth £50+.

The main reason I did get the NARS  box is so I could try out some of there bestselling products, some of which have been on my must purchase list. If you read the first ever post I wrote as an introduction to the blog you would know that I can't get NARS where I live and my only option is online to purchase any products. NARS products aren't on the cheap side which so I much refer being able to test a few things out before going out and spending a lot of money on something that I won't even like.

Which is why I like Glossy Box I get to try a bunch of different make up with out having to spend a lot of money and I have yet to be left disappointed, I may not like every single product but I usually end up falling in love with a lot of the products that make it worth it.

In the box there are 5 generous sized samples and I will include the price of the full sized items, I payed £30 for the box!

I am going to start with the product I was most excited for which is the blush in Orgasm £23 (full size 4.8g glossy box size 3.5g)

This product is probably one of the most hyped up NARS products and I am not disappointed. Just from the swatch I can tell that it is really pigmented and has a really nice sparkle to it without being to glittery and chunky. Its smooth and swatched beautifully and can not wait to try it in a make up look.

Audacious Mascara (black) £21(full size 8ml glossy box size 3ml)
I have seen quite a few good reviews about this mascara on youtube so I am looking forward to trying this out. I love trying out different mascaras and especially love mini mascara as it is perfect for traveling or throwing in my handbag.

Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien £19 (full size 2.2g glossy box size 1.7g)

I love a good lip product and swatching this it is really creamy and glided on really nicely. The colour is a nice every day dusty rose almost a your lips but better colour ideal for work and perfect size for my handbag.

Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto (black) £19 (full size 0.6g glossy box size 0.3g)
It takes a lot to impress me with eyeliners especially if it goes on the water line because I have quite watery eyes and £19 is a lot of money for just an eyeliner.

The Multiple in Orgasm £29 (full size 14g glossybox size 4g)
When I got the list of all the items that were going to be in the box I wasn't really excited for this product but after swatching it, I am in love and I can't wait to play around with all the ways I could use it, whether its on my cheeks, lips or maybe eyes, can't wait!

The box is definitely worth the £30 I paid for it. If your interested in subscribing to Glossy Box check out the link below, you can usually get a coupon code to get 10% or 20% of your first box!

If you got the NARS Glossy Box what was your favourite product? or just your favourite NARS product you think I should try just leave me a comment.

Introduction!!

This blog is a little bit of an experiment for me, I am addicted to all things beauty and I thought I would give blogging a go.

A little bit about me then, I am 23 years old and I started to fall in love with make up when I was at university in Liverpool.

I live in the Isle of Man (google haha) and my only options in regards to buying any beauty products is Boots or Superdrug, my nearest Mac store is a plane (or boat) ride away, so it is pretty limited. Thank god for the Internet, I couldn't shop with out it!

I will be posting first impressions, hauls, product reviews on all things Make Up, skin care, nail care, hair care and anything else that I might fancy and hopefully a few make up tutorials.

So enjoy the ride, Please comment below if you have a request, questions or general comments, share subscribe and check out my first post tomorrow on the NARS GlossyBox!
